Mr. Aquino is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Early Intervention Specialist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, Certified Forensic Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist and Certified Anger Management Specialist-II. Mr. Aquino is a recognized authority in the areas of family strengthening, leadership development and cross-cultural issues. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Aquino is experienced in working with a broad range of emotional and mental problems with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families.
Over the years, Mr. Aquino has incorporated innovative processes with an interactive focus to engage audiences. Focusing on creating and presenting programs for employee career development, crisis management, and outpatient services.
He motivated, trained, and mentored individuals, organizations, and community groups. He authored various curriculum addressing violence prevention, family strengthening, and marriage preservation. He currently serves as the Director of Counseling and Wellness Center for the University of St. Francis. He previously served as a clinical director for a child welfare agency, psychology adjunct professor, consultant to school districts, government agencies, and business organizations.
Mr. Aquino appeared and featured in various community television programs and newspaper articles in recognition for his services. He is a recipient of numerous awards and honors for program development and community leadership which include but not limited to: Illinois Counselor Association 2016 Site Supervisor of the Year Award, Making the Difference, and The Community Leadership Award by Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Aquino Clinical Services provides innovative culturally competent clinical services in response to the needs of the clients we serve. We work proactively to understand and address the mental health concerns of culturally and ethically diverse clients. We are committed to on-going needs assessment and program evaluation to ensure that our services are accessible and welcoming. In doing so, we build hope and improve lives. We provide confidential psychological services and strive to provide these services in an atmosphere that is welcoming, comfortable and multi-culturally sensitive for all clients. Counseling services are offered in an office setting. We offer counseling services regardless of gender, race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
